Project Summary
The proposed Jenner Wind Project is located near the town of Jenner in southeast Alberta. The project is initially targeting 120 megawatts (MW) of wind power turbine capacity with planned construction commencing in 2017. This would involve the installation of approximately 36 turbines. There is also future expansion potential for the project to a total of 300 MW. If the project is approved, it will require a new 240 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to connect from a new wind collector substation to the existing provincial transmission system.
