Chairman – Bryan Clake, P.Eng., MBA.
Bryan’s main role is providing direction and leadership on the company’s business strategy. In addition Bryan takes the lead in the areas of deal structure, project economics and finance. Bryan has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, and prior to the start-up of Joss Wind Power was Vice President of Corporate Development for Penn West Petroleum. He was a senior executive at Penn West during an 11 year period of very rapid growth. He has been focused on wind power since 2005, and he is an active member of the Canadian Wind Energy Association.

President – Justin Thompson
Justin has been involved in Canada’s wind industry for over 20 years. He started his career with Vision Quest, one of Canada’s earliest wind developers, then worked for TransAlta and Joss. He has played various roles including project development, regulatory approvals, and business development and has pursued wind development activities in six provinces. In all, Justin has been involved in the development of over 900MW of installed wind capacity.
In his role as President at Joss Wind, Justin oversees strategy for the development of the company’s greenfield projects. His focus is to work with the diverse experience of the Joss team and potential partners to develop and de-risk high value projects that will be successful in western Canada’s complex electricity markets.

Chief Operating Officer – Dave Schroeder, BBA
Dave’s primary roles within Joss are land acquisition, meteorological tower installation and maintenance, and stakeholder relations. Dave has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He has extensive training and experience as a Landman, and has performed land work in most jurisdictions in Canada. In addition to his work as a Landman, Dave also has experience in natural gas and power marketing. Dave has a keen interest in alternative energy and has been able to use his experience and skills to successfully negotiate wind leases for Joss in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Chief Financial Officer – Gerry Elms
Gerry’s role within Joss focuses on all accounting, tax, and financial reporting matters as well as overall corporate strategy. Gerry is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales with over 30 years of experience in the Energy Industry.

Director and Strategic Advisor – Doug Andrews, P.Eng., MBA
Doug’s main role is focused on connection of Joss’ projects to the electrical grid including both the technical and regulatory aspects of interconnection. Doug is an electrical engineer with over 40 years of professional experience. He started his career as a Transmission Engineer in the power business in Alberta, and he has experience in many facets of the industry including project development, scheduling and cost control. Doug was one of the early entrants into the wind power business, and he has been involved with initiating wind power projects in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Director and Corporate Secretary – Allan Twa Q.C.
Allan’s primary roles within Joss are that of legal advisor, corporate secretary, and deal structure advisor. Allan is retired and was a corporate lawyer for over 30 years with the law firm of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer in Calgary.

Director – Graham Weir B.A., M.A.
Graham plays an advisory role within Joss bringing his extensive insight into corporate practices and business strategy. Graham is an independent businessman with extensive financial background. Previously, he was Vice President and Director of Corporate Finance for Goepel McDermid Inc., where he initiated and completed acquisitions, financing, financial advisory, merger and valuation assignments for oil and gas and service sector companies. Mr. Weir serves as Chairman of Graymont Limited.

Manager Project Development – David Clake BSc.
David’s primary roles within Joss include development of GIS and computer systems, project management, and field and desktop level data analysis. David has over a decade of experience in the energy industry, including GIS and stakeholder consultation work in the oil and gas industry.
